INFLUENCE OF CARBON CHAIN ON ADSORBTION OF C3-C5 ALKANS OVER DIFFERENTLY STRUCTURED ZEOLITES

The n-alkans adsorbtion over H-forms of various zeolites by IR spectroscopy method has been studied. Alkans are shown to be adsorbed on zeolites surface through formation of weak hydrogen bonds with Broensted acid sites which depending on the nature of adsorbed alkan results in shifting Si(OH)Al (bridge form) valent oscillation adsorbtion bands toward low frequencies.
