Electrochemical conversion of sulfur gas in anode in the presence of iodine ion has been studied. As result of this process, the sulfuric acid and sulfur have been prepared. Mechanism of conversion process, which supposes the formation in intermediate of cyclic sulfur dioxide trimmer.
