Nucleophilic addition of arulthiols to acrolein leads to formation of 2-arulthiopropanales and 3-arulthiopropanales. Dependance of thermal adition of 2-arulthiol- and 3-arulthiopropanal of electronic functional substitutes in benzol ring of arulthiol established. It has been determined that the presence of various functional groups, including halogen atom in the composition of the synthesized compounds increases the antimicrobial influence of such compounds.
