Using the reaction of 2-hydroxi-5-alkylphenylmetylsulphides with sulphur monochloride and by subsequent reduction of reaction mixture with hydrogen 2-hydroxy-3-methilthio-5-alkylthiophenols has been syntesized. The antioxidant properties of compounds examined by chemiluminesence metods showed that they possess high antioxidant activity and by their effectiveness are supperior to the known antioxidant of ionol type.
