Thermodynamic analysis of Tl–S–Hal(Hal–Cl,Br) systems in the Tl–TlHal–S composition area was made (at 300-390 K temperature range) by measurement of electromotive forces (EMF) of concentration chains of type:
(–) Tl (solid) / liquid electrolyte, Tl+ / (Tl–S–Hal) / (solid) (+). Earlier detected diagrams of solid phase equilibrium has been confirmed. Relative partial thermodynamic functions (ΔG, ΔH, ΔS)of thallium at 298 K calculated using the linear equations of temperature dependence of EMF for three phase areas TlCl–Tl6SCl4–Tl4S3 and TlBr–Tl6SBr4–TlS. Standard thermodynamic functions of formation and standard entropy of Tl6SCl4 and Tl6SBr4 compounds calculated.
